About the role

The Supply Chain Specialist oversees a variety of areas in the areas of supply chain and inventory management. The person in this role participates in process improvement projects and serves as a liaison between the supply chain function and business units to ensure alignment with organizational goals.

What You Will Do

Demand Planning & Forecasting

  • Own the demand planning process by gathering, aligning, and challenging forecasts from the global Commercial team.
  • Drive forecast accuracy by monitoring performance, analyzing trends and variances, and leading actions for continuous improvement.
  • Translate demand into action by developing production plans and providing clear production forecasts to our manufacturing sites.

Inventory & Capacity Management

  • Manage and optimize inventory levels for the TeamSports business, placing strategic orders with production sites to meet contractual agreements while maximizing inventory turns.
  • Develop and implement peak season strategies (e.g., pre-builds, outsourcing, inter-company support) to navigate high demand flawlessly.
  • Participate in strategic capacity planning, helping allocate production across our sites to maximize service, flexibility, and cost-efficiency.

Process Improvement & Operational Excellence

  • Lead the standardization of supply chain processes across all TeamSports production sites, creating a unified and efficient global operation.
  • Guarantee customer service levels by meticulously tracking orders across the entire chain and proactively resolving bottlenecks, especially during peak season.
  • Coordinate the supply chain component of new item development and launches.
  • Manage the customer claims follow-up process, using data to identify root causes and prevent future issues.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in inventory management and conducting in-depth materials analyses.
  • Strong data analysis skills with the ability to monitor trends and forecast potential challenges.
  • Expertise in production planning and manufacturing processes.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated adaptability and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
